A response regarding Jama’at at-Tabligh, by the Noble Shaykh, Abdur Razaaq Afeefi رحمه الله

The Shaykh was asked: About going out (with) Jama’at at-Tabligh for the purpose of reminding the people of Allah’s Greatness?

The Shaykh said, may Allah have Mercy on him:

‘The reality is, they are innovators, corrupters, and followers of the Qadiriyyah Sufi order and other than that. And them going out is not in the Path of Allah, rather it is in the path of Ilyaas (1). They do not call to the Book (i.e. the Qur’an) and the Sunnah, but they call to Ilyaas, their Shaykh in Bangaladesh. As for going out with the intent of inviting to the religion of Islaam, which is striving in the Path of Allah – and this is not (that); rather it is the going out of Jama’at at-Tabligh. And I am familiar with Jama’at at-Tabligh from times of old, and they are innovators in any place. They were in Egypt, Isra’eel, America, and Saudi, and all of them are committed to their Shaykh, Ilyaas.’

Many of the brothers in Cincinnati have fallen under the tableegh spell and have eaten their free food and listened to lectures full of unknown hadiths that legitimize their idea of 3 10 40 day jumaats. Many must be introduced in prison where their sheik works. It is a deviated path they are on and they do oppose the sunnah like the sheik has said. They have sheiks but nobody knows them probably because they are sheiks in Sufi orders.
